Framing Movements 2025
Framing Movements 2025 returns to the Suzanne Dellal Centre for the fourth consecutive year, as part of the Loving Art-Making Art festival, which will take place from October 23 to 25. The exhibition will present video and new media art pieces by ten artists from Israel and abroad, each working within different time periods and cultural contexts. Their creations blur the line between documentation and poetry, positioning recording and filming as a gateway to questions of belonging, identity, and memory—and art as a tool for creating a new political imagination.
At the heart of the exhibition, there’s a shift from documentation to testimony, from testimony to shared experience, and from shared experience to a collective space and awareness. The works, emerging from varied social and political contexts, embody a circular and repetitive movement: at times offering harmony and liberation, at other times, disorientation and vertigo. This tension reveals the cultural and political codes that shape public space, positioning the viewer as both an active participant and a witness to the unfolding events.
