HOME was created in a time when the line between our private space and the world outside feels increasingly blurred Through movement, modular costumes, and elements that come together and fall apart, the piece looks playfully yet thoughtfully at how everyday reality shapes our closest relationships—partners, family, and community.. When the home feels shaky and the chaos outside starts to slip in, HOME invites us to pause and wonder: Are we coming undone because of what’s happening around us, or did the unraveling start within? Who supports whom—do we lean on the home, or does the home lean on us? The outside world echoes inside us too, stirring loneliness, tension, and a deep wish for healing. The stage becomes a home, the costume becomes aboundary, and the body turns into open space. HOME begins with a personal story and grows into something we can all relate to—a shared, collective experience.
The company was founded in 2022 by the well-known and respected choreographer and creator Yaniv Hoffman, who was looking for a platform to speak about the burning social reality in him. Among other things, he searched for social projects such as: “Boys Dance Too”, which has the WOMEN ensemble that is part of the fight against violence against women, and ran the show “Still”…Today, the Yaniv Hoffman Dance Company in its new cast includes 8 professional dancers.
The latest show “Naked Truth” was a great success and praise and ran throughout the country in theaters with about 15 sold out performances, a show that also entered the cultural basket in high schools in the country.
Yaniv calls his works “social dance”. As such, he seeks to appeal to a broad and popular audience, and take them on an emotional and topical journey, which can correspond with any viewer. Yaniv has also been a member of the Israeli Choreographers Association since 2024..
