An interactive dance-theatre performance for children ages 3-10 and the whole family.
Two sailors set off on a journey filled with imagination, humor, movement, and adventure, and the children are invited to join them. Along the way, they are not just spectators: they become part of the journey, helping the sailors face challenges, find their courage, and discover together what lies beyond the familiar. Through play, dance, and active participation, fear transforms from a reason to stop into an opportunity to be brave, stay curious, and embark on an adventure. Combining a rich theatrical world with contemporary movement, the performance offers children and their families a playful, engaging, and imaginative experience that encourages curiosity, collaboration, self-confidence, and a love of movement. Lior Lazarof is a choreographer, dancer, and dance educator, and the Artistic Director of The People Dance Theater Company. She creates works for both the stage and public space, exploring the relationships between the body, community, and space through movement research and socially engaged artistic practices. Lior has participated in numerous international residencies, research programs, and artistic development platforms. Her work has been presented in Israel and internationally, including at Curtain Up, Jaffa to Agripas Festival, Haifa Museum of Art, IMPULSTANZ Festival in Vienna, Springboard Danse Montréal, Lucky Trimmer in Berlin, among others. Alongside her choreographic practice, she founded The Ensemble, a pre-professional training program for dancers that combines technical training, artistic research, and creative practice. She also leads dance groups and facilitates creative processes in both professional and community settings.
