Scaffolds are temporary structures: they are erected when needed, supporting what cannot yet stand on its own, and then disappear. The work follows five women as they create shifting networks of support through their bodies, voices, and relationships. They lift, drag, carry, lean on, and hold onto one another. Bodies pile up, collide, and emerge from one another within a system of relationships in constant motion. Alongside live music created on stage, the five women move between collective action and moments in which each must find her place anew. The scaffolds are built and rebuilt between them, existing only for as long as they are needed.
