Sharon Hilleli Assa is a choreographer, dancer, researcher, and educator with over 30 years of experience. She is the Head of the Dance Department at the Levinsky-Wingate Academic Center and a member of the Israeli Choreographers Association. She holds a B.Ed. and an M.A. (with honors) from Kibbutzim College.Her artistic work bridges diverse social groups, including Arab-Hebrew, religious-secular, and human-nature connections, while crossing boundaries between dance, galleries, and cinema. Inspired by Anna Halprin, Qigong, and Feldenkrais, her teaching integrates somatic “body-mind-spirit” approaches, specializing in Release technique, improvisation, and performance.Sharon founded “The Art of Movement – Dance-Healing-Life,” offering workshops across Israel and Europe. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports, she leads dancer training programs alongside community initiatives like “Dancer in the Community.” Her multidisciplinary works are regularly showcased in numerous venues and festivals.
