In the shelter, our senses shift between overload and numbness. The black-box serves as a protective space where we are forced to physically hold on to fast-passing fantasies and fading memories from the world we knew, while constantly adapting to new rules. Like an ark where primordial chaos and loss of physical control are welcome, the stage becomes a space where every physical choice is both crucial and meaningless. This exploration unfolds a field of radical listening, an hyper-sensitive environment where every subtle movement or encounter counts – whether physical or mental, and amplifies the longing for the ancient playfulness and hidden impulses.
The Artist / The Company:
Shahar Hanin and Isaac Chocron are a creative duo and life partners. Their work translates fantasy into impossible physical tasks. They aim for a very live art, using close, challenging collaborations with dancers and other artists to learn and discover.
Hanin is a choreographer and dancer from Kiryat Yam. He graduated from Thelma Yellin High School, the Maslool School of Contemporary Dance Tel Aviv, and the SMKB Dance School. As a dancer, he worked with independent choreographers like Shaked Mochiach, Ido Feder, Or Marin, Or Saadi, and others, and was a member of the Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company. He began his creative journey at the Suzanne Dellal Center’s 1|2|3 program.
Chocron is an actor and creator from Madrid. He graduated from the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio and Kelim Body for Choreographic Work, and holds a BA in artistic direction from Sapir College. He performs with the Smartut Theater Group and independent artists like Michal Samama, Oded Komemi, Achinoam Mendelson, Marina Beltov Grass, and others. In addition, he works as a community manager and co-artistic director at the Neve Schechter Center

This premiere is a continuation and development of choreographic research, which was initially presented at the ‘Jaffa to Agrippas – c.a.t.a.m.o.n Island’ festival in Jerusalem under the artistic direction of Elad Schechter and Tom Gorenberg Yarkoni, and the ‘Asif’ festival at the Kelim Choreography Center in Bat Yam led by Ayala Frenkel.
The piece has re-premiered in Tel Aviv Dance Festival of Suzanne Della Centre under the artistic direction of Naomi Perlov and Tamir Eting.
