A feminine war diary: a duet with folded hands moving between the personal, the human, and the tangible, shifting states of consciousness. A dance–spoken word performance with live music, emerging from a movement–text research process within the war (end of 2023), evolving from solo (2024) to duet (2025). The evening will begin with a short somatic workshop suitable for every-body, and will continue with the performane of “Folded”. We will explore the movement research underlying the work – possibilities of sensation with folded hands – between walking and resting, between states of consciousness and bodily imagery.

We are always on the way.
Yesterday on a night ride the driver told me: “The meaning of life is life.”
I am not searching for it.
How can we even keep on moving?
So I fold my hands, the body allows it; numbness and helplessness versus connection and support.
I don’t want pain. I want longings. Longings for a pleasant future.
Let everything exist in the same sphere.
The most important term there is: To contain.
