Where the tortoise and rabbit meet, so can math and dance.

The place where math meets dance on a blank page.
One tortoise will teach one rabbit that he already knows a lot, and she’ll discover that the dance contains all of the numbers and shapes that she loves.
They’ll measure how close and how far apart they are, argue their way to agreement, and try to understand why simple questions can be so deeply confusing.
The piece is designed to develop children’s intuition for and curiosity about arithmetic and geometry through a range of situations and examples using dance, words, colors, and sound.

Gal Bruck Gorfung is a choreographer, dancer, and neuroscience researcher.
A graduate of the Maslool School of Contemporary Dance, Tel Aviv, under the artistic direction of Naomi Perlov and Offir Dagan, he holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Psychology with emphasis on Neuroscience from Tel Aviv University.
Bruck Gorfung works at the intersection of art, technology, and education: he’s taught mathematics to all ages and levels, and envisions a future in which body language and movement are integrated into the educational system.
His most recent work, Fusion, created with Adi Goral, premiered at the 63rd Israel Festival 2025, and he continues to collaborate with artists including Lior Zalmanson, Mor Shani, and Netta Barzilai.
Bruck Gorfun currently lives in the United States for cancer treatments, where he continues to create and seek humanity across disciplines.
