Bidoon Enwan (Untitled), 2009
Bidoon Enwan In Arabic has a double meaning: Without an address and Untitled.
The video was created based on the artist’s feeling of lack of belonging to his existence as a person and to the place, city, and country where he lives. The olive tree in Rabin Square is lonely, it is planted where it does not belong.
The title of the song being played is Hubb (Love in Arabic) and talks about longing and sacrifice. It was chosen to amplify the sense of non-belonging and alienation felt by both the tree and the artist.
