The Hebrew name –  EretzYeshuvChaYeleDomem is a blend of the words Land, Community, Living Being, Child, and Inanimate object. It is taken from childhood games, and its words capture a concept that was once perceived as certain, and now it is a tangle of doubts and pain.

The performance’s materials are lessons in ‘physical and mental resilience’ that promise “healing,” autobiographical inventory lists, and the material on which the show takes place, which dictates and organizes the entire event.

These components are melded together to ponder on the current essence of that concept, explore what still connects to it, and determine whether the initial operating instructions inscribed in the body can be updated.

Against the abundance of words, in the creation’s dark and precarious space, lies the body with its clearly not sturdy movements groping their way forward.

Noa Dar created and performs in ‘Lists of Longings and Lessons for Hope.’ The body gropes its way forward in the creation’s dark, precarious, word-filled space.

Noa Dar, dancer and choreographer, has worked since 1993 within the ‘Noa Dar Dance Group,’ where she creates an original and daring movement and stage language.

While searching for ways to develop new forms for creation and performance, Dar collaborates with artists from various fields and, over the years, has formed a rich body of work that includes dance and theater performances for groups and individuals, works for adults and children, works that are site-specific and performances for public spaces, concert halls, and gallery spaces, as well as performative tours and lectures.

Among her works are ‘Come Lie Down,’ ‘Land Slugs,’ ‘Inventory’, ‘NoaNoa,’ ‘Skin,’ ‘Anu (Us),’ ‘Arnica,’ ‘Tetris,’ and many more that have been commissioned by leading festivals in Israel and presented internationally on many stages around the world.

Among the awards she has won are prizes from the Ministry of Culture for Young Choreographers (1996), The Performance Award for a company (2001), the Creation Award (2009),  An award for innovation from the 2006 Acre Festival, the Rosenblum Prize for the Performing Arts from the Tel Aviv Municipality (2008), and the Landau Prize for Arts and Sciences from the HaPais Council for Culture and Arts at 2010.
