Tamir Ginz, Artistic Director of Kamea Dance Company, is proud to present this season’s premiere, an evening that is an international summit meeting of two of the world’s leading choreographers of contemporary dance: works by Jacopo Godani (Italy) and Andonis Foniadakis (Greece-France). In their careers, the two choreographers have developed a movement language with a personal stamp and are recognized as the leaders of unique and innovative dance styles that break through familiar traditions and create a sophisticated orchestration of the body, each in their own way.
Godani is presenting a world premiere at Kamea with his abstract language that challenges classical ballet while being able to disassemble and reassemble it. Foniadakis’s immersive work “Kosmos” deals with the urban world in a dance that is extremely dynamic and wild.
