Fletcher the fox is very worried. His beautiful and beloved tree is losing all its leaves. He tries everything he can to save them, but nothing works. When the last leaf falls from the branch, Fletcher almost loses hope. But when he returns to the tree the next day, he discovers something miraculous: his tree has changed, transformed into something new, and yet it remains his most beloved tree of all. Now, perhaps, even more so.
The play explores the ability to adapt to change, the fear of it, and the ever-changing nature of the world and ourselves, through the innocent perspective of a sensitive fox cub who experiences a crisis when his beloved tree suddenly changes.
Presented in a soft, artistic, humorous, and highly musical style, the play creates a small, bubble-like world reminiscent of children’s imaginative play.
Inspired by the book “”Fletcher and the Falling Leaves”” by Julia Rawlinson and with the guidance of the Train Theater, the premiere performances took place at the International Train Theater Festival in Jerusalem – August 2024.
