Ido Gidron is an independent performance artist, dancer, choreographer and instructor of Gaga. He was born and raised in the mountains of Jerusalem, Israel. Graduated from the Academy for Music and Dance in Jerusalem, Ido served in the IDF with an “outstanding performer” award, while dancing for KCDC and Batsheva Dance Company. while Ido started to create works, he worked with choreographers like Idan Sharabi, Elad Schechter, Sharon Vazanna, Arkadi Zaides. Ido was a guest dancer with the Norwegian National Ballet in fall 2017. In 2021, Ido was an artist in residence at Kennesaw State University, Georgia, USA, and was a guest teacher at Gothenburg Danskompani, Wee Dance Company, Henny Jurriens Studios, FabrikPotsdam and more. Ido is a Pais and Yotzrim Grant winner for 2020 and 2023. Ido’s dance research delves into the body's materiality as a source of artistic inspiration while focusing on the human aspect of performance. Currently, Ido is creating works and teaches workshops for international programs and companies worldwide, while dancing for Eastman – Sidi Larbi Cherckaoui (Belgium).
